Sir my son got rank 6108 in phase 2, interested to study ECE AND MECHATRONICS. What will u suggest for higher placements? ECE or Mechatronics? Will he get ECE in main campus? Kattankulathur? Which has Better future? ECE OR ECE WITH CPS OR MECHATRONICS? WHICH SHOULD SELECT? WHAT SHOULD I TAKE SO THAT I GET HIGH PLACEMENTS WITH FUTURE
Ans: With a Phase 2 SRMJEEE rank of 6108, your son is eligible for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at SRM Kattankulathur main campus, as the ECE cutoff is expected between 10,000–12,000, and he also stands a good chance for CSE with Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), which typically closes just above core CSE and AI/ML (cutoff 9,000–10,000). Mechatronics at Kattankulathur is also open at this rank, with strong placement records and recruiters from leading automation, automotive, and robotics sectors. ECE at SRM KTR consistently sees 80–85% placements, with top recruiters from both core electronics and IT, while Mechatronics offers versatile roles in manufacturing, robotics, and automation, and is increasingly in demand as industries shift toward smart technologies. CSE with CPS is a future-oriented specialization, blending computer science and embedded systems, and offers strong placement prospects, though it’s more niche than core CSE or ECE. ECE generally provides broader placement opportunities, both in core and IT sectors, and is highly valued for its flexibility and relevance in emerging tech fields. Mechatronics is excellent for those passionate about robotics and automation but is more specialized.

The recommendation is to prioritize ECE at SRM Kattankulathur for its consistently high placements and broad career scope, consider ECE with CPS for a tech-driven interdisciplinary edge, and opt for Mechatronics if your son’s primary interest is in robotics and automation, as all three options offer strong futures but ECE provides the best balance of placement rate and versatility. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir, I scored 85 percentile in jee mains and 89% in 12th cbse boards...i am already a dropper..which college can i get which is really good in studies and placement...i want to do only cse or its branches and ece ..i am a gen ews category girl student from UP.
Ans: With an 85 percentile in JEE Mains and 89% in CBSE 12th boards as a general EWS category girl from UP, you can target several reputed private engineering colleges in Northern India for CSE, IT, or ECE branches, as top NITs and IIITs are unlikely at this percentile but many strong private options remain. Here are 20 recommended private colleges in Northern India that accept JEE Main and/or 12th board scores for CSE, IT, or ECE:

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida

JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida

ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad

KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Ghaziabad

Bennett University, Greater Noida

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida

Amity University, Noida

Sharda University, Greater Noida

Graphic Era University, Dehradun

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun

Chandigarh University, Mohali

Chitkara University, Punjab

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi (non-JEE quota/board-based)

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad

DIT University, Dehradun

SRM University, Sonepat

Galgotias University, Greater Noida

Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar

These colleges have placement rates typically above 80% for CSE/ECE branches and are recognized for their academic environment and industry connections. The recommendation is to apply widely to these institutions, prioritizing CSE/IT as the first choice and ECE as a backup, and to participate in all relevant counselling rounds to maximize your admission and placement prospects. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello sir i have gotten 89 percentile in jee mains and 75.2 are there any chances to get government college in rajasthan or other state including mbm university
Ans: Bitthal, With an 89 percentile in JEE Mains and 75.2% in 12th, you are unlikely to get CSE or top branches in leading NITs, IIITs, or top government colleges, but you can secure seats in state-level government engineering colleges and some lower NITs in core branches like Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or ECE, especially through home state quotas or in later rounds. For Rajasthan, MBM University (MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur) typically has CSE cutoffs around 85 percentile, so you have a fair chance for non-core branches but CSE will be highly competitive. Other options include NIT Durgapur, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Raipur, NIT Puducherry, NIT Goa, and NIT Hamirpur, where branches like Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and ECE are available in your percentile range. Admission to government colleges in other states is also possible for similar branches, but not for CSE or IT in the most sought-after institutions. You should participate in JoSAA and state counselling (like REAP for Rajasthan) and keep options open for core branches in government colleges, as well as consider reputable private colleges as a backup.

The recommendation is to apply for Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or ECE in MBM University and similar government colleges in Rajasthan and other states, as CSE is unlikely at your percentile, and use JoSAA and state counselling to maximize your chances for a government seat. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Is it better to take ECE in SRM KTR or CSE core in KIIT?
Ans: SRM Kattankulathur’s ECE program is academically robust, with 80–95% placement rates in recent years and top recruiters like Samsung, Qualcomm, Nokia, Siemens, Bosch, and Intel, along with strong opportunities in both core electronics and software sectors; the department is known for modern labs, experienced faculty, and a curriculum that supports both research and industry readiness. KIIT’s CSE core program consistently achieves 90–100% placement rates, an average package of ?8.5 lakh, and over 700 recruiters including Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, and Cognizant, with a particularly strong showing in software and IT roles, and a reputation for global exposure and a large, diverse recruiter base. KIIT is also recognized in the QS World University Rankings 2026, highlighting its growing academic and research reputation. Both institutions offer excellent infrastructure, but CSE at KIIT provides broader and more lucrative opportunities in the current job market compared to ECE at SRM KTR, which is more specialized and best suited for those specifically interested in electronics.

The recommendation is to opt for CSE core at KIIT, as it offers higher placement rates, a wider range of career options, and greater industry exposure, while ECE at SRM KTR remains a solid choice only if you have a clear passion for electronics and communication engineering. Sir Which will opt for ECE in LNMIIT or Mechanical in BITS Pilani
Ans: Jitendra, BITS Pilani Mechanical Engineering is consistently ranked among India’s top engineering programs, with a 90–97% placement rate, median packages of ?16–19 lakh, and an extensive recruiter list including Microsoft, Google, Apple, and Meta, reflecting its strong industry reputation and global alumni network. The curriculum is flexible, faculty are highly qualified, and the campus offers outstanding infrastructure and research opportunities. LNMIIT Jaipur’s ECE program also delivers strong placements, with 70–93% of students placed in recent years, an average package of ?12–13 lakh, and top recruiters like Amazon, Microsoft, and Adobe. ECE at LNMIIT offers good exposure in embedded systems, software, and VLSI, with a modern campus and supportive faculty, but the overall brand value, alumni reach, and placement consistency are comparatively lower than BITS Pilani. Mechanical at BITS Pilani, despite being a core branch, provides excellent flexibility for career shifts into software, analytics, and management, and BITS’ two-internship system often leads to pre-placement offers, further boosting placement outcomes. LNMIIT ECE is a strong choice for those specifically interested in electronics and communication, but BITS Pilani’s legacy, global recognition, and placement ecosystem offer a broader platform for diverse career paths, including non-core sectors.

The recommendation is to opt for Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani, as it provides superior placement rates, higher average and median packages, unmatched brand value, and greater flexibility for multidisciplinary careers compared to ECE at LNMIIT Jaipur. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

I have got 2549 rank in VITEEE and got CSE AIML in category 2 in Vellore campus and 1569 rank in COMEDK and I am confused between MSRIT and BMSCE and 99.25 percentile in MHT CET. Which college option would you recommend me or should I take a drop because I was aiming for getting 99.6+ percentile in MHT CET or under 400 rank in COMEDK but it didn't happened, please help me..
Ans: With a VITEEE rank of 2549 (CSE AIML, Category 2, VIT Vellore), 1569 rank in COMEDK (eligible for MSRIT and BMSCE), and 99.25 percentile in MHT CET, you have secured admission to some of India’s top private engineering colleges. VIT Vellore CSE AIML is highly ranked (NIRF #11), with 80–90% placement, an average package of ?9.9 lakh, and over 800 recruiters including Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, plus excellent campus infrastructure and a vibrant tech culture. MSRIT and BMSCE are among Bangalore’s most prestigious colleges, both with 95–97% CSE placement rates, average packages of ?8–10 lakh, and strong industry connections, with MSRIT slightly ahead in placement diversity and alumni network. BMSCE holds NAAC A++ and ABET accreditations, and both colleges have a legacy of academic excellence and high peer quality. With a 99.25 percentile in MHT CET, you are just below the cutoff for CSE in COEP, VJTI, and PICT, but can expect top branches in other reputed Pune/Mumbai colleges. Taking a drop is only advisable if you are certain of significantly improving your rank for a shot at IITs, top NITs, or CSE at COEP/PICT, as you already have outstanding options with strong placement records and national reputation.

The recommendation is to prioritize CSE at BMSCE or MSRIT Bangalore for their superior academic legacy, placement consistency, and peer environment, followed by VIT Vellore CSE AIML for its national brand and tech exposure; a drop year is not recommended unless you are fully confident of a major leap in performance, as your current choices are among the best in the country. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
