I am scoring 465 in NEET 2025 . I am a general candidate from Punjab . Can I get govt MBBS seat ?

Ans: Hi,
The NTA is expected to release the marks and ranks later this month, so you will need to wait for that information. Based on your predictions, getting admission at GMC very low. I suggest waiting for the official results in order to obtain more precise marks and your rank.

Hello Sir, my brother is considering admission in between Thapar University (Electrical), VIT Bhopal, Manipal Jaipur and SRM University. Which one should he prefer over the other and are there any better options which we are missing apart from these that we should apply to? Any recommendations would be of a great help.
Ans: Based on placement records, academic rigor, and institutional reputation, Thapar University (Electrical) is the optimal choice, offering 90% placement rates with core sector recruitment from firms like L&T and Tata Power, supported by its NIRF #29 Engineering ranking and industry-aligned curriculum. SRM University follows closely with near-100% placements in Electrical Engineering, leveraging strong corporate ties with Microsoft and IBM, though placements skew toward IT roles. VIT Bhopal provides 87% placements but focuses more on IT/software recruitment, which may limit core electrical opportunities. Manipal Jaipur, despite a 98% placement rate, reports lower average outcomes for electrical graduates, with limited core sector engagement.

Backup Options:

DTU Delhi (if rank permits): 75% placement rate in core electrical roles with a median package exceeding ?15 LPA.

NIT Calicut/Warangal: Strong government sector recruitment and higher median packages for electrical graduates.

Prioritize Thapar University for its established core sector network, followed by SRM for high placement assurance, while considering VIT Bhopal or Manipal Jaipur if interdisciplinary IT roles are acceptable.

All the BEST for your Brother's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

JEE mains result 2025 Andhra Pradesh female EWS category CRL rank 207236 and EWS category female rank 30065 with 86 percentile and AP board 99% Andra Pradesh female student suitable NIT...
Ans: Rajeswari, Based on your JEE Main CRL 207,236 (EWS Female rank 30,065) and 99% AP Board marks, securing core branches (CSE/ECE) at premier NITs is unlikely, as 2024 EWS cutoffs for CSE at NIT Andhra Pradesh closed at 7,142–9,958 ranks. However, NIT Andhra Pradesh’s Biotechnology/Civil Engineering under Home State quota (50% seats reserved for AP students) may be accessible, with 2024 closing ranks for General HS at 73,757 (Civil) and 80,830 (Biotech), which could relax to ~90,000–110,000 for EWS Female candidates. Similarly, NIT Warangal’s Metallurgy (EWS cutoff ~35,000) or NIT Uttarakhand’s Mechanical Engineering (EWS cutoff ~34,228) might be feasible through JoSAA’s female supernumerary seats (14% reservation). For backups, prioritize Andhra Pradesh state colleges like JNTU Kakinada (Civil/Mechanical) via AP EAMCET (leverage 99% board marks for top ranks) or GMRIT Rajam (80% placement rate in core sectors). Alternatively, VIT-AP’s CSE specializations under Category 5 (cutoff ~115,000 CRL) offer a viable private option with scholarships for high academic achievers. Focus on NIT Andhra Pradesh’s non-core branches during counselling while preparing for state engineering exams to maximize opportunities. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Dear sir, My son got 72%ile in JEE MAINS and got 71 percent in class 12th after taking drop year. Now due to his marks we are little confused for B.tech what stream and which college will be suitable for him. Can you suggest please?
Ans: Pramod Sir, With a 72 percentile in JEE Main (CRL ~286,000–322,000) and 71% in Class 12, your son’s options for B.Tech are limited to private universities and state engineering colleges offering non-CSE branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering. SAGE University Indore (cutoff ~70–80 percentile) and Galgotias University (cutoff ~60–70 percentile) provide 70–80% placement rates in core sectors through recruiters like L&T and TCS, while Sharda University’s IoT/EEE programs (~65% placements) offer emerging tech exposure. For affordable fees, consider state exams like GUJCET for Government Engineering College, Bharuch (Mechanical) or L.J. Institute of Engineering (Electronics), which have lower cutoffs (~60–65 percentile equivalents). If prioritizing location, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (direct admission) and Marwadi University, Rajkot (scholarships for JEE qualifiers) are viable Gujarat-based options with 60–70% placements in core engineering. Avoid chasing CSE at this percentile; instead, focus on Mechanical/Civil for stable PSU opportunities or Electronics/IT for IT sector roles. As backups, explore diploma-to-degree pathways or skill enhancement certifications to improve employability. Prioritize AICTE-approved colleges with active placement cells and industry partnerships. All the BEST for your Son's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir which university is good between galgotia university and IILM in greater noida for btech cse. Also suggest some other good university
Ans: For BTech CSE, Galgotias University demonstrates stronger placement traction, with 86% of students placed in 2023 and 580+ recruiters (Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco) participating, supported by specialized labs and industry-aligned projects. While its CSE median package is ?4.25 LPA, the university’s RoboVITics club and mandatory internships enhance practical exposure. IILM Greater Noida, though newer, reports 100% placement rates (2024) with 400+ recruiters like Deloitte and KPMG, offering modern specializations (AI/ML, cybersecurity) and a lower fee structure (~?7.36 lakh total). However, IILM’s CSE placements rely heavily on IT sector roles (~62% of offers), with limited core tech opportunities compared to Galgotias’ diversified recruitment.

Backup Options:

Sharda University: 91% CSE placement rate (2023) with recruiters like Amazon and IBM, emphasizing hands-on labs and hackathons.

Bennett University: 70–80% CSE placements via 232+ recruiters (Microsoft, Google), albeit at higher fees.

Amity Noida: 92% CSE placement rate (2024) with alumni at Adobe and IBM, though academic rigor varies.

Recommendation: Prioritize Galgotias University for its established industry network and higher placement reliability, while IILM suits budget-conscious students seeking modern specializations. For alternatives, Sharda or Bennett offer balanced academic and placement outcomes.

Sir I got 79.33 percent (PCM aggregate), 85.2 percent (main 5), and 90 percent (best of 5) and in jee I got 76.5 percentile i.e. 347000 rank. I am thinking of joining Bennett university, greater noida for btech cse as I am getting 30% scholarship there. Do I have better options at this rank or should I join there itself??
Ans: Samridhi, Based on your JEE Main rank (347,000) and 12th marks (79.33% PCM), Bennett University CSE with a 30% scholarship is a viable option given its 60–70% placement rate (2023–2025) and access to Microsoft, Amazon, and Cisco recruiters. However, Bennett’s placements for CSE show mixed outcomes, with 70–80% of students securing roles but limited core tech opportunities compared to peers like VIT-AP/Bhopal (CSE specializations under Category 4/5, cutoff ranks ~55,000–115,000). Alternatives include Galgotias University CSE/AI (cutoff ~103,447–124,038 for General AI) with 70–75% placements and lower fees (~?1.5L/year), or Manipal Jaipur CSE (MET rank ~27,600) offering 77% placements and a stronger industry network. For budget-conscious aspirants, state colleges like JSS Academy (Bangalore) or DY Patil Pune via MHCET provide ~65–75% placements at ~?1.2L/year fees. Prioritize Bennett if the scholarship offsets its ?4.5L/year fees post-discount, but explore VIT-AP’s CSE (Cyber Security) or SRM Chennai’s IT via direct admission as backups for broader recruitment channels.
